Inframe Playback Sponsor the BFDG Awards

We walked down the red carpet at the star-studded British Film Designers Guild Awards 2018 thanks to our sponsorship with the prestigious body.

Inframe Playback are proud to sponsor and provide IT and AV equipment for the industry-leading company that has elevated design in British films since 1946.

Some of the UK’s most talented production designers, set decorators and other members of the art department teams gathered at Royal Horseguards Hotel London on February 9 to celebrate stand-out contributions in British cinema.

We were honoured to meet so many of the production designers, set decorators, directors and stars that received these honours, including host for the evening, film critic and BBC Radio Five Live presenter Mark Kermode.

Chris Cox, director of InFrame Playback who attended the event, said: “As an awards sponsor we provided all of the screens for video playback for the ceremony.

“We were involved in planning for several months before and provided technical consultancy support across all AV elements.

“To be in an environment where so many talented and creative people contribute is very exciting.

“Production designers and art directors from some of the most iconic films of the past 20 years attended the awards.

“It’s a privilege to work with and support the BFDG and the industry.”

The Favourite, Bohemian Rhapsody, Mary Poppins Returns and Killing Eve were among the winners with Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Production Designer Stuart Craig picking up the special award for Lifetime Achievement.

The BFDG Awards was set up to recognise and to highlight the skills and creative importance of the work undertaken by British production designers, set decorators, and their associated crew that create the films we know and love behind the scenes.

In 2016, to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the BFDG, the awards grew into a much larger glittering and prestigious black tie event, and has continued to grow.

The British Film Designers Guild has a membership of more than 400 who represent every level of the art departments that create everything from indie hits to big blockbuster flicks.
